Why Do I Need LoomGuard?
Ford issued a recall after discovering a security weakness in their Mk6 Transit vans (2000 to 2006). Apparently, using only a sharp knife, a thief can cut through the wiring-loom on the rear doors and activate the central-locking mechanism!
Ford's recall deals with the issue by reconfiguring the wiring, but of course the thieves have no way of knowing whether or not the mod has been carried out and therefore proceed with their attack. If the manufacturer's modification has been carried out, the thieves will not be successful in breaking into your van, but you are left with a very expensive repair to the wiring loom, time off the road and loss of revenue.
What Does LoomGuard Do?
LoomGuard stops the thieves from attacking your wiring looms by encasing the loom with a metal barrier which is specially contoured to avoid fouling the door during closing.

Is It Easy To Fit?
The Loomguard takes just five minutes to fit and requires no specialised tools.
Do I need one or two?
The righthand door is the one which is vulnerable, but thieves usually "have a go" at the left one too - just to see if it does anything, so it's better to protect the left loom as well, even though it only contains a lighting circuit.
